  • Earlier this week, HAIM released their acclaimed album, Days Are Gone, but only those with access to the deluxe UK iTunes edition of the album had the pleasure of hearing a flawless bonus track. The sisters co-wrote the song, entitled “Edge,” with Twin Shadow and the result is a smooth masterpiece full of 80s nostalgia. Check out the song below, and don’t miss HAIM performing at Neumos on October 23. [Stereogum]

  • Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age joined the Arctic Monkeys onstage during their Los Angeles performance earlier this week. Together they played “Knee Socks,” which is featured on the Arctic Monkeys’ recently released album AM. Watch the performance below, Homme’s dance moves will not disappoint. [Pitchfork]

  • Just this morning, Lauryn Hill was released from prison after serving a three month sentence for tax evasion, and somehow she has found the time to record and release a brand new song. The speed at which she delivers her social commentary is incredible. “Consumerism” is now available on iTunes. [CoS]

  • Best Coast has shared the newest track from their upcoming EP, Fade Away, (which will drop on October 22). “This Lonely Morning” really plays on the California band’s strengths. Rocking guitar, pounding percussion, and Bethany Cosentino’s powerhouse voice make this polished sound seem effortless. [Stereogum]
