KEXP at Iceland Airwaves 2013: The broadcast begins!

This week, KEXP is broadcasting for the third year in a row, during Iceland Airwaves Music Festival. Starting this morning at 6AM, and running through Friday, November 1, we're bringing you five bands a day performing live at KEX Hostel in Reykjavik, including Emilíana Torrini, Moses Hightower, Petúr Ben, John Grant, Ásgeir and many others. Today's lineup includes the 14-person afropop-lvoing Samúel Jón Samúelsson Big Band, international star Emilíana Torrini, New York indie rock group Caveman, and two of Iceland's own, Valdimar and Borko.

  • Wednesday, October 30
  • 06:00AM PST – Samúel Jón Samúelsson Big Band
  • 08:00AM PST – Emilíana Torrini
  • 10:00AM PST – Caveman
  • 11:30AM PST – Valdimar
  • 01:30PM PST – Borko
