  • Not ones to wait for official announcements, Arcade Fire let the citizens of Barcelona know that they'd be playing next year's Primavera Sound via a large format poster raised along the city's main shopping street, Portal de l'Àngel, on Monday. The festival just confirmed the resulting social media buzz and added that Neutral Milk Hotel would also join them at the 2014 festival. [see poster here]

  • After releasing their successful sophomore album earlier this year, Canadian shoegazers No Joy have kept busy working on their new EP Pastel and Pass Out (out now via Mexican Summer). “Second Spine” is a breathy, serene venture that builds into a bright, pop harmony, while still retaining the band’s fuzzy and low-key style. Today, Line of Best Fit has premiered the video for his new single, "Torrent", from In The Silence, the English translation of his award-winning Icelandic debut (due February 4). [Line of Best Fit]

  • Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard covered Bruce Springsteen's "Drive All Night" as a part of his upcoming 4-song EP, Drive All Night, which will be released digitally on December 3. Hansard's cover is flawlessly executed with amazing harmonies from Eddie Vedder, Jake Clemmons, and Joe Henry. [Rolling Stone]

  • Destroyer, a.k.a. Dan Bejar, has shared the music video for his song "Bye Bye." There's some adorable little chickens frolicking in a field, but that happy buzz dies a little when he eats a chicken leg. The track is a part of an all Spanish EP, aptly titled Five Spanish Songs, which will be available on November 25. [Pitchfork]

    • A busker in Berlin was taken completely by surprise when while performing the 80's Bronski Beat hit "Smalltown Boy", the band's lead singer, Jimmy Somerville, happened by (while walking his dog) and joined in on the song. Don't believe it? Watch below. [People]
