  • The National and Coldplay have already shared their contributions for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack and now we have pop sensation Lorde‘s contributiuon to sink our teeth into. She has brought the world the most disturbing rendition of Tears For Fears’ bubbly 80s track “Everybody Wants To Rule The World.” Never in a million years would this combination cross my mind, but somehow she nails it. • British singer-songwriter Blood Orange, aka Dev Hayes, has dropped his stunning new album, Cupid Deluxe, today. He’s also shared the video for the album track “Time Will Tell,” which features Hayes in all white performing some truly expressive choreography. It feels like a special peek into his creative process. [Stereogum]

  • Anthony Gonzales of M83 has been working on the score of the film You And The Night, which was directed by his brother Yann Gonzales. Take a listen to the first track, a flawless instrumental called “Ali and Matthais.” [CoS]

  • Lily Allen has made a triumphant return to music, her last album came out four years ago, with the release of the video for her new single “Hard Out Here.” It’s all about the harsh realities of sexism in the music industry and in typical Lily Allen fashion, she has no intention of backing down. • Dubstep producer Joker will release a new EP entitled Headtop in December and today we have a funky preview track to hype us up. Check out the hypnotic “Deserted Island” below. [Stereogum]
