  • Daft Punk's new video for Random Access Memories track "Instant Crush" shows that even inanimate object can have their own tragic love story. A museum mannequin was sculpted into Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas likeness by Tony Gardener, the makeup artist behind Michael Jackson's "Thriller." [Pitchfork]

  • LA rockers Warpaint have shared their new single "Biggy," which will be featured on their forthcoming self-titled album (out January 21 via Rough Trade). It's a lovely track with a dreamy, psychedelic melody that builds into something powerful as the song goes. [Stereogum]

  • Last night, just hours after the world learned of the death of Nelson Mandela, R Kelly appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show and paid tribute to Mandiba. He performed the song "Soldier's Heart," the beautiful song Kelly wrote especially for Mandela in 2009. [CoS]

  • Secret Colours will release two new EPs next year, Positive Distraction Part I in February and Positive Distraction Part II in April. They've released the first taste in the form of "It Can't Be Simple," a lively and dynamic track that packs a serious punch. [Stereogum]
