It was a session DJ Cheryl Waters had been waiting 20 years for: The Waterboys, a band who are actually celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, despite frontman Mike Scott being a mere 24-years-old, wink. The long-running group are on tour supporting their seven-CD collection, Fisherman's Box, inspired by the 1988 album Fisherman's Blues which marked Scott's relocation from Scotland to Ireland, resulting in the most successful album of their career. What will the next 30 years hold for the 'boys? If the bluesy brand-new song they opened with is any indication, they're "still freaks," with no plan to slow down.
