Congratulations to local hip-hop heroes Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who were nominated last Friday for the 56th Grammy Awards in seven categories, including Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. James Blake also received a nomination for Best New Artist, and Daft Punk racked up four nominations, including Album of the Year. Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, has announced she has a self-titled album coming out next year on February 25th. The album will feature Dap-Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss and Midlake's McKenzie Smith on percussion. Former Seattleites, now based in South Carolina, Band of Horses have announced both an acoustic album and an acoustic tour for 2014, including a February 16th stop at the Moore Theatre. Acoustic at The Ryman hits shelves on February 11th; hear the track "Neighbor" below: [Consequence of Sound]

This Spring, Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear and Department Of Eagles will emerge from hibernation for his first-ever solo tour. He'll be playing tracks from his EP Silent Hour/Golden Mile, as well as the Department Of Eagles’ 2008 album In Ear Park. The Pixies have a new bass player, and no, her name is not Kim! Paz Lenchantin, who has previously performed with A Perfect Circle and Billy Corgan's Zwan, will be stepping into Kim Deal's shoes for their upcoming North American tour, including a February 18th stop at The Moore. Drummer David Lovering said in a statement, "Working with different bass players is very new for the band, but we're having a great time doing it." Former bandmates of the late Jason Molina have announced a tribute tour featuring members of Magnolia Electric Co. and Songs: Ohia, joined by M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger, performing material from throughout Molina's career. Titled "Songs: Molina - A Memorial Electric Co.," the mini-tour follows the 10th anniversary reissue of Songs: Ohia's Magnolia Electric Co. [Pitchfork]
