Imagine this: it's a brilliant winter day, you're sipping a hot toddy having just come back from snowshoeing with some friends and you're getting ready to see The Moondoggies perform. Where are you? Well, you're at the inaugural Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival, of course! And what could be better?

Artist Home, the folks who bring the funk with the Doe Bay music festival, Timber! (the summer Carnation, WA, counterpart to Timbrrr!) and many other great local music events, have set up this winter wonderland of a weekend in Leavenworth, WA, featuring fifteen artists including The Moondoggies, Telekinesis, Hey Marseilles and Radiation City.

When asked what festival co-organizer Kevin Sur is looking forward to most, he said simply, "Hot Toddies, Brautwurst and merriment!" But really, he continues, "The inspiration came from us wanting to celebrate a different season here in the great Northwest. All of our events took place in the summer and are definitely defined by the best the Northwest has to offer during that time, but it made sense to do something that also celebrated how great this place is in the winter."

Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival will be held this weekend (Jan. 10th and 11th) and is all-ages (hot toddys, though, are only for those 21+). Tickets can still be found here and more information here.

Live Video: Wampire

Visually, Wampire are a throwback to the 70’s: button-downs with big collars opened at the top, sunglasses, long and wavy hair.
