That loud clicking sound you hear is the sound of thousands of music fans rushing to make their travel arrangements: the line-up for the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been announced, and it’s a doozy.
First off, the rumors are true: Outkast are reuniting after eight years. André 3000 and Big Boi haven’t performed as Outkast since their 2006 album Idlewild. Other headliners include Arcade Fire (natch) and Muse.
Other stand-outs for 2014 include the reunited The Replacements, Neutral Milk Hotel, Beck, The Knife, Disclosure, Queens of the Stone Age, Bryan Ferry, MGMT, Haim, STRFKR, Girl Talk, the Afghan Whigs, Chromeo, Sleigh Bells, Neko Case, The Head & the Heart, Chvrches, Ty Segall, Darkside, Broken Bells, Waxahatchee, Foxygen, Blood Orange, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Mogwai, Dum Dum Girls, Washed Out, Holy Ghost!, Superchunk, Classixx, the Dismemberment Plan, Warpaint, Wye Oak, Jagwar Ma, Future Islands, Fishbone, Motörhead, and many more.
