  • This weekend is your chance to score a piece of punk rock history as X’s Exene Cervenka is throwing a yard sale, and you’re all invited! The sale begins today in Santa Ana, California and runs for the next four days. Everything from guitars, vintage clothing, movie posters, alligator bags, and more will be on sale. [Spin]

  • If the cold weather is getting you down, check out the new video from Seattle’s own Tacocat (featuring a cameo from KEXP employee Dashel Schueler, as a matter of fact!). The fun-loving band are releasing their album, NVM, on Hardly Art Records on February 25th, but join them for an early release party tomorrow night, Valentines Day, at Chop Suey. [The Stranger’s Line Out]

  • So much for their “indefinite hiatus” — Thee Oh Sees are, uh, dropping their next album, titled Drop, on April 19th via frontman John Dwyer’s Castle Face label. Stream the opening track “Penetrating Eye” below. [Under the Radar]

  • Canadian quirksters The Unicorns called it quits in 2004 with a prophetically-titled EP, 2014, so it should come as no surprise that reunion shows and a potential reissue are in the works this year. The trio recently re-acquired the rights to their 2003 release Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone?, and are discussing remastering possibilities or reissuing it with previously unreleased tracks. Over the past decade, frontman Nick Thorburn has been busy with his project, Islands. [Pitchfork]
  • L.A. band Kitten shared the motley motel-themed video for their track “Money.” (You can spot fellow Angelino musician Ariel Pink hanging out in the background.) Kitten will be live on The Morning Show on Wednesday, April 2nd, at 9:30 AM PT. [Stereogum]
