Seattle continues to prove how rich a music scene it really has. Sam Anderson, who plays in the popular Hey Marseilles, is continuing the trend of band members in well-established groups putting out solo projects that blow people’s minds. Before him just a few months ago, Benjamin Verdoes of Iska Dhaaf put out a solo project and now it’s Anderson’s turn. Under the name Arkomo, Anderson has created a lively-at-times, moody-at-times, but always inspiring, new project. He has been working to compose new songs – creating a new sound for himself – and only recently released the tunes via his Soundcloud and Bandcamp pages. Anderson, as Arkomo, stopped by the KEXP studios to play live on Audioasis, which you can watch here:
