There really is no festival like it. Not far from Portland, but tucked away on a wooded hillside on Pendarvis Farm, Pickathon gathers a diverse lineup of artists to perform intimate sets in unique and captivating spaces. From the majestic aerial sculptures to the miles of trails and comfy campsites, the festival is feast for the eyes and ears. Added to the warm communal vibes is a dedication to sustainability — through recycling, composting, renewable energy, and non-single-use dishware — plus, the food is damn good!
Artists for the festival this year, on weekend of August 1-3, are slowing being revealed. Already announced are a handful of KEXP favorites: X, Valerie June, Foxygen, Mac DeMarco, Gregory Alan Isakov, Courtney Barnett and Woods. Look for more great artists as they pop up on Pickathon’s Facebook page.
Tickets for Pickathon go on sale tomorrow, March 1. It sells out each year, so you’ll want to pick up yours up as soon as you can. Find out more here.
