  • Philideplia indie rockers The War on Drugs have been touring to support their recently released album, Last in the Dream. During their shows, the band has been covering John Lennon‘s song “Mind Games.” Now you can listen to a recording of the cover from a March 20th show in New York City, below. [Pitchfork]

  • Damon Albarn has not been shy about sharing hoards of his new music recently. Between live performances and officially released singles, most of the tracks from his upcoming debut solo EP Everyday Robots (out on April 29) have been floating around for a while now. Today’s offering, “Mr. Tembo,” is a buoyant ditty that will add a little shine to what could have been a pretty dark album. [Stereogum]

  • Lieberson sister outfit TEEN have shared a new track from their upcoming album The Way and Color, which will drop on April 22. “Tied Up Tied Down” manages the perfect balance between soulful R&B and dreamy synth-pop. [Stereogum]

  • A talented all-star team, including the likes of: Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Marcus Mumford (Mumford and Sons), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Elvis Costello, and T.Bone Burnett, have joined forces to create the music to go along with two-dozen newly discovered Bob Dylan lyrics. The album, Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes, will be out sometime later this year. The studio recording process will be filmed as a part of a Showtime documentary called Lost Songs: The Basement Tapes Continued, which will be directed by Sam Jones. [CoS]
