  • This upcoming Record Store Day, April 19th, Jack White will be recording, pressing and releasing the limited edition version of his next single, a live rendition of the title track from his upcoming LP Lazaretto. The entire process will take place at Third Man Records, White's own independent record label, and will only span over six hours, beginning at 10 A.M. and ending around 4 P.M. Whirlwind Heat will make an appearance as well, playing their first live show since 2006. For tickets and more information, consult Glide Magazine.
  • After debuting with his 2012 album Total Loss, How To Dress Well, Tom Krell's current musical endeavor, has announced a new album entitled What Is This Heart. The song, "Repeat Pleasure," is a sensual, groovy track, appealing to many elements of the R&B style. The new album drops on June 24 via Weird World, but you can hear the new single here. • Bob Mould, punk rocker extraordinaire, has recently announced a new album titled Beauty & Ruin to be released on June 3rd under Merge Records. To hold listeners over until the early summer release date, Mould shared a single from the album called, "Hey Mr. Grey." You can check out Mould's testament to senescence here. [Stereogum]

  • Pony Bones, a lo-fi duo consisting of Speedy Ortiz's guitarist Matt Robidoux and Kate Hanlon (formerly of Kendra), have just bestowed a new track, "Clyfford," upon all those in favor of distortion, raw sound, and ear-splitting drumbeats. [Stereogum]

  • Rugs. Kidnapping. Bowling. These are just a few of the many threads that weave together the Coen Brother's The Big Lebowski. Sixteen years after the film's production, the many cult-followers of the farce are still partying on. In response to the strong fan base, Jeff Bridges has agreed to make an appearance at the upcoming 12th annual Lebowski Fest in the City of Angels on April 25th. Bridges' band, Jeff Bridges and the Abiders, will be headlining. See you there, Dude. [Consequence of Sound]
