The lyrics "Sonic Reducer, ain't no loser" never rang so true — celebrate Sonic Reducer's 10th Anniversary with hosts Brian Foss, Nick Turner and Mr. West! KEXP's Sonic Reducer showcases the best in local, national, and international punk and hardcore, with short, fast and loud songs every Saturday night from 9 pm to Midnight.

The celebration takes place at Highline Bar on May 1st, ten years to the day of the first Sonic Reducer broadcast, with headliners Fe Fi Fo Fums reuniting to play their first live show in seven years, Coconut Coolouts, Deep Creep, Wimps, and Unnatural Helpers. The show benefits the Betsy Hansen Cancer Fund — Betsy Hansen and her husband Johnny Samra are proprietors of Radar Hair and Records Salon in the SoDo neighborhood of Seattle. Since 2010, Radar has hosted countless bands, art and fashion shows, and fundraising events, and has become an indispensable part of Seattle’s creative community.

As Sonic Reducer DJ Brian Foss noted, “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 10th KEXP anniversary than a benefit show to help Betsy in her fight against cancer. We are especially thrilled to have our friends in Coconut Coolouts, Wimps, and Unnatural Helpers join the fray to celebrate Sonic Reducer and support our punk/hardcore community”.

Performances begin at 9 pm. Tickets are $8 in advance and may be purchased through Ticketfly, and $10 at the door.
