  • Pour yourself a big bowl of sugary cereal and sit down for the new video from tUnE-yArDs, inspired by the beloved ’80s Saturday Morning Show Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. Watch Merrill Garbus romp around this magical setting in the track “Water Fountain,” from the upcoming release Nikki Nack, out May 6th on 4AD. [Pitchfork]

  • Nashville artist Torres (aka Mackenzie Scott) has teamed up with two KEXP faves for her new single “New Skin”: The War On Drugs and Sharon Van Etten. The track was recorded for Philadelphia non-profit Weathervane Music’s web series Shaking Through; a different version will reportedly appear on her upcoming (yet to be announced) album. [Stereogum]

  • Here’s Where the Story Begins (h/t DJ Shannon): beloved ’90s band The Sundays have been dormant for 17 years now, but finally broke their silence to American Airlines inflight magazine American Way (of all places) to say they have been working on new music. No release dates, nor touring plans, have been confirmed, but it’s just nice to know vocalist Harriet Wheeler and guitarist David Gavurin are still at it. [Stereogum]
  • Speaking of DJ Shannon, KEXP’s resident Scottish music expert, Glasgow band PAWS have shared a new song today, the excellently-titled “Owls Talons Clenching My Heart,” from the upcoming release Youth Culture Forever, out 5/6 via FatCat. Stream the song below, and catch the band in Seattle on May 3rd at The Crocodile. [Stereogum]

  • Even Beck has to wait in line for 45 minutes to see Arcade Fire, or so he told the audience at Coachella this past weekend before launching into an acoustic cover of “Rebellion (Lies).” Watch fan-shot video of the performance below: [Pitchfork]
