Ian Nygaard (guitar): No, no, no — mine would be “Wood Beez” by Scritti Politti.
Max Petrek (bass): We only like sophisti-pop, sorry.
KEXP: That is such a total contrast from your sound! Their music is so smooth!
Jordan: And their lyrics are so dark! That’s the thing about Prefab Sprout and Scritti Politti, their lyrics are extremely dark. All their lyrics are about desire, but the negative aspects of desire. The music’s pretty happy, but the lyrics are not happy.
