If, after hearing Juana Molina's surreal yet powerful music, we were to tell you that that the Latin American legend has also voice-acted as Elastagirl for the Argentine dub of The Incredibles, would you believe us? Would you trust us if we told you that she began her career in show business in order to obtain money for her music career? Well, chalk one up for KEXP as it's all true: Juana Molina's had a successful past, not only in music but television, and is moving forward into an even more rewarding future. In 2013, she released Wed 21, her sixth studio album, and acquired the reputation as one of Argentina's most prolific singer-songwriters. In celebration, she went on tour, inspiring audiences worldwide, and is now somewhere in the heart of Germany. Recently, Juana Molina was in Seattle, and she stopped by KEXP to craft her intricate loops with the help from a back-up drummer and synth-player, and revel in the psychic wake that her music leaves behind.
