Between his bluegrass voice, genuine love for performance, and one-man-band resilience, there's just something so authentic about Scott H. Biram. If that weren't enough, in 2004, Biram was involved in a near-fatal car crash, requiring him to have his bones re-connected with metal rods and even necessitating a foot-and-a-half of his intestine to be removed. A month later, he showed up in a wheelchair with an I.V. drip dangling from his arm in Austin, Texas. His new album, Nothin' But Blood is a great collection of whiskey-soaked singles, reflecting his influences of Americana, blues, and heavy metal. Displaying his antique 1959 Gibson guitar during a recent in-studio session, Biram played four songs from the album, each perfect for living slow and easy.
