Last month, Neptune Theatre hosted the latest in our ongoing series of benefit shows as KEXP, Starbucks and STG presented Little Big Show #9, with 100% of ticket sales going to local non-profit Hugo House. Headliners, and long-time KEXP favorites, Cloud Cult performed a typically uplifting set, as dynamic emotionally as musically. Following the release of their latest live album, Unplug, the Minnesota band split their set between acoustic and electric instrumentation, reinterpreting some old favorites and reinvigorating some forgotten ones. Seattle's own Benjamin Verdoes — formerly of Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band and currently of Iska Dhaaf — opened with a heartfelt set from his recent solo LP, The Evil Eye. Thanks to all who came out for the show, Little Big Show #9 raised over $12,000 for Hugo House.
