  • He doesn’t need anyone... except his sound guy. Watch the latest video from Hamilton Leithauser below for the track “I Don’t Need Anyone” from his debut solo album, Black Hours. Leithauser leads his life — getting a haircut, going to a museum, etc. — accompanied by Christopher Colbert, the band’s actual sound guy, the only one I guess he really needs. • Shoegaze fans, look up: Slowdive is coming to Seattle! The UK band announced their first North American tour in over twenty years, including a November 4th stop at Neptune Theatre. In a press release, the band stated: “We have a special connection to our audience in North America and we can’t wait to return in 2014!” [Pitchfork]
  • Interpol also announced their North American tour this morning, including a September 16th stop at The Paramount. The trio’s fifth album, El Pintor, will be out September 9th on Matador Records. [Under the Radar]
  • Seattle avant-garde-rap duo Shabazz Palaces share yet another track from their upcoming release, Lese Majesty, out 7/29 on Sub Pop. Check out the single “Forerunner Foray” below. They’ll be LIVE on KEXP on Monday, August 4th at 3:00 PM PT. [Stereogum]

  • Watch a breathtaking video from Sharon Van Etten for the track “Our Love,” off her latest Are We There. Directed by Karen Collins, the sensual clip features Van Etten under the bedsheets and then underwater. It’s a track KEXP blogger Jacob Webb described as “Sade-esque.” (Read his entire review here.)
