Although only in its third year, the annual Summit Block Party is quickly emerging to be one of the highlights of summer on Capitol Hill!

Enjoy a FREE day of music and fun with your neighbors this Saturday, August 9th on Summit Avenue, between East Olive & Howell Street. Founded in 2011 by Adair Tudor, Summit Block Party strives to capture a neighborhood feel with boom boxes and BBQs, and true to its name, several of the bands playing actually live on Summit Avenue. Set times haven't been posted yet, but expect some sets from:The Pharmacy // Ecstatic Cosmic Union // Snuff Redux // Great Spiders // Kleine // Kelli Frances Corrado // Wayfinders // Parker Edison // Bad Tats // CMRTYZ // Diogenes // Carnotaurus // Lifeslow // Funky Photos // Nightspace // Spread Thick Crew

The party kicks off at 11:00 AM and goes 'til 9:30 PM. Even if you don't call Capitol Hill your 'hood, head over to Summit Avenue this weekend and feel at home.
