  • It’s true: Sleater-Kinney are back! The beloved Northwest trio went on hiatus in 2006, but will release their eighth full-length album, No Cities to Love, on January 20th via Sub Pop. Get a sneak peek with the lyric video to the first single “Bury Our Friends,” featuring director/actor Miranda July. S-K have also announced some tour dates for early next year — no Seattle date yet, but you know you’ll be among the first to know once we find out. [Pitchfork]

  • Sleater-Kinney labelmates Shabazz Palaces debut the video for the track “Motion Sickness” today. The Lese Majesty song soundtracks a dramatic family scene, involving a drug-addicted single mom and her young daughter, who escapes into a spacey fantasy world. Check it out below: [Consequence of Sound]

  • And Interpol share a creepy new video today for the track “My Desire” off their latest, El Pintor. Director Markus Lundqvist captures a hallucinating man in a Lower East Side bar, sifting through Polaroids. Don’t watch this one on your lunch break: [Spin]

  • Tame Impala off-shoot project POND have announced their new album, Man It Feels Like Space Again, will be out on January 27th. Get a taste with the first single “Elvis’ Flaming Star” below. POND will be LIVE on KEXP on Tuesday, October 28th at 1:00 PM PT, and playing the Tractor Tavern later that night. [Stereogum]
