  • Scottish group Young Fathers took the Barclaycard Mercury Prize yesterday with their debut album, Dead, beating out artists like Damon Albarn and FKA Twigs.   • Just in time for Halloween: PJ Harvey covers the ominous track "Red Right Hand" by her former paramour, Nick Cave. (Yes! The two dated back in the mid-'90s.) Harvey's rendition was recorded exclusively for the second series of BBC TV show Peaky Blinders.   • Speaking of Nick Cave, this Saturday, Austin City Limits will air an episode he and the Bad Seeds recorded for them over the summer.   • East coast punks Big Ups won us over with their debut album, Eighteen Hours Of Static, and today they share a track from an upcoming 7" single. Check out the track "Not Today" below. The single, a split with Brooklyn band Washer, comes out 11/18 on Exploding In Sound. [Stereogum]

  • Seattle band Stickers share the video for their track "Sacajawea," a highlight from their debut release, Swollen, out now on End Of Time records.
