KEXP

Want to learn more about music and technology? There's no better event than this week's CASH Music Seattle Summit! This Portland-based non-profit (whose acronym is formed from "Coalition of Artists and Stakeholders") began in 2008 as a way to better connect musicians and labels to the listeners by using open-source technology. CASH Music's free services help musicians in distributing, promoting, and selling their own music.

Join CASH on Saturday, November 15th at the Vera Project for a panel hosted by John Roderick of The Long Winters. He'll be chatting with local musicians Shelby Earl, Sean Nelson, and Chris Sutton, as well as smart-dude Glenn Fleishman, a contributor to The Economist, Macworld, and Boing Boing. Starting at 12:30 PM, they'll discuss music, tech, life, and more. And then on Sunday, November 16th, join the CASH Crew for "build day" at Rhapsody HQ in the beautiful Columbia Tower. Starting at 11:00 AM, there will be "code to hack on, brainstorm sessions, and folks on hand to answer your questions." It's an afternoon for everyone, from artists to developers.

Both events are all ages and free to attend with an RSVP (click here to do just that).
