  • PJ Harvey is taking an exciting approach to recording her ninth studio album. It will be recorded at London's Somerset House from January 16 to February 14 as part of an art installation called Recording in Progress. Those are lucky enough to attend will be able to watch Harvey work through one-way glass. [Pitchfork]

  • Atmosphere have shared the video for their recently released track "January On Lake Street." It features shots of people staring blankly, which turns out to be people's last moment's before a giant asteroid wiped out the Earth. [Stereogum]
  • Brooklyn indie outfit POP ETC (f.k.a. The Morning Benders) have revealed plans to drop a new album this year. There's no official release date, but as a preview, they've shared the amazingly 80s-esque "Running in Circles." Listen below. [CoS]

  • Deer Tick wrapped up their six night stay at the Brooklyn Bowl with a killer New Year's Eve performance. They were joined by close friend Stevie Nicks, she even officiated John McCauley’s wedding, to perform the Fleetwood Mac classic "Rhiannon."
