Nothing Courtney Barnett has done so far has been "pedestrian" — which is why KEXP is thrilled to present the track "Pedestrian at Best," a sneak peek at the Australian sweetheart's full-length debut, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, out March 24th via Mom+Pop. Watch the (somewhat heartbreaking) clip below. (Courtney, you could never disappoint us.)

Since the release of The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, Barnett has been propelled around the world, playing festivals, shows, and even a KEXP VIP event for donors last summer. Somehow, the young singer/songwriter managed to carve out time to write and record her first album. (Hard to believe, but it's true: that last release was just two EPs!) In an interview with Rolling Stone, Barnett enthuses, "I am super-excited about getting this album into the world. It was really fun making it, and I feel super-proud of it."

When Courtney Barnett and her band The Courtney Barnetts were in Seattle on Halloween 2014, they recorded a special, secret session of new songs, just for us. We'll be airing that in-studio on The Midday Show on KEXP on Tuesday, March 24th at 12:00 PM PT, so RSVP here on Facebook for a reminder to tune in.
