  • We never would've guessed from yesterday's jaw-dropping history-making performance from Rose Windows at the site of KEXP's New Home, but the band had just endured some bad news: guitarist Chris Cheveyo had his favorite guitar — a '56 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue #67361 — stolen from his apartment. He writes on his Facebook page: "Tell your music/pawn shop friends." The band are currently working on their second release for Sub Pop, and will be playing February 20th at Neumos. [The Stranger]

  • Seattle's own Rocky Votolato premieres a new track from his upcoming release, Hospital Handshakes. Stream the track "The Hereafter" below. The forthcoming album was recorded here in town and produced by former Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla. Hospital Handshakes hits stores on April 21st via No Sleep. [Stereogum]

  • Beloved New Zealand duo Flight of the Conchords are slipping on their business socks once again: Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie are planning a US tour for later this year, and will even debut new material during the tour. Fingers crossed for a Seattle date, and even a stop by the KEXP studios. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Electro-pop duo Purity Ring share a new video for the track "Push Pull," a sneak peek at their forthcoming sophomore release Another Eternity. The clip, directed by photographer and videographer Renata Raksha, features frontwoman Megan James floating through the air in a very shaggy sweater. Another Eternity hits stores March 3rd via 4AD.
