  • Sufjan Stevens will release the highly anticipated, Carrie & Lowell, on March 31. This is Steven’s first studio album since 2010’s The Age of Adz. • British indie rockers Django Django shared an infectious new track called “Reflections.” It’s the perfect combination of synth instrumentals and stunningly blended harmonies. Their sophomore album Born Under Saturn drops on May 5. [Stereogum]

  • Thanks to Spotify, you can now stream Modest Mouse‘s latest album, Strangers to Ourselves, in its entirety. Now that their eight year music hiatus is over, Isaac Brock and company are already working on their next album. In an interview with hmv, Brock explained, “I’m pretty far along with the next one as it is. I went in to making this one with two records in mind. It’ll be released as quickly as it’s legally allowed to be. It’s a partner to this one.” [CoS]

  • Surprise music releases are all the rage these days. Today, Earl Sweatshirt‘s upcoming album I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside unexpectedly popped up on iTunes with a drop date of March 23. The album’s first single “Grief” is available now. Check out the track’s music video below. [Pitchfork]

  • Yesterday, Killer Mike was nearly assaulted onstage by an audience member as Run the Jewels performed at the Spotify House. Of course there’s video of this weird event, which you can find all over the music blogs now. Hopefully, this is as crazy as SX gets. [Stereogum]
