Over the weekend, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic and Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan took the stage at The Neptune Theatre to discuss McKagan's new book, How To Be A Man (and other illusions). After their spirited discussion, none other than Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready introduced the two to perform a cover of the 1987 single "Sweet Child O’ Mine" on bass... and accordion. A biopic on McKagan's life, It's So Easy and Other Lies, was just added to the schedule for the Seattle International Film Festival with screenings on May 28th and June 4th. [Spin]

Looks like Björk had a fun weekend, too: the Icelandic icon did a surprise DJ set at the Tri Angle Records fifth anniversary party in New York City. In a note on Soundcloud, she says, "couldnt possibly been more honoured than to play in that company !!! the mix i played was my present to them : merging together some of my fav beats last year with some of my fav vocalists doing some of their best songs." That mix includes Kate Bush, Death Grips, the Haxan Cloak, Brandy, and more. Listen below. Spoon return to their Texas roots, and are taking Austin-based band Sweet Spirit out on tour with them. To commemorate the collaboration, Sweet Spirit are releasing a tour 7-inch featuring a cover of Spoon's "Paper Tiger," off 2002's Kill the Moonlight. Spoon frontman Britt Daniel joins them for the take, which you can stream below. Buy the single from them at the merch table on May 24th in Vancouver or May 25th in Spokane. (No Seattle date... yet?) Excitement is high for the Sufjan Stevens shows in Seattle on Wednesday, June 10th and Thursday, June 11th. His latest album, Carrie & Lowell, is absolutely stunning, and at a recent show in Austin, Texas, he surprised fans with an old Illinois track, which he says he hasn't played in over eight years.
