  • Last night, former-Seattleite Father John Misty stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers in support of his sophomore release I Love You, Honeybear. Watch him perform the tracks “True Affection” and “Nothing Good Ever Happens at the Thirsty Crow” below, and keep track of all these late-night musical highlights with KEXP's TV Eye column. FJM plays the Sasquatch Music Festival this weekend. [Spin]

  • Another late-night-TV highlight featuring a local: last night, Eddie Vedder stopped by CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman to help send off the legendary host. Watch his tender performance of "Better Man" below. The Pearl Jam frontman has a long history with the show: back in 1996, Letterman had a running habit of attempting to sing the chorus to “Black,” until finally Paul Shaffer brought out Eddie to show him how it's done. Watch that below, too (especially for Letterman's Streetcar-style bellowing of "Eddie" at the end). Letterman's last-ever Late Show airs this Wednesday. [Consequence of Sound]

  • I, personally, could not be more excited about this collaboration: Welsh weirdo-pop artist Cate Le Bon is teaming up with West Coast weirdo-pop artist Tim Presley (better known as White Fence). The project is called Drinks, and here's the title track of their debut album Hermits On Holiday. Hermits On Holiday will be out August 14th on Heavenly Recordings. [Stereogum]

  • Yesterday, we reported on a band covering Spoon; today, we report on Spoon covering The Cramps. Hear their take on the sinister 1980 single "TV Set" below, which originally appeared on the album Songs the Lord Taught Us. The track was recorded for the revamped version of the 1982 horror film Poltergeist, which hits theaters this Friday. [Under the Radar]
