Over the weekend, Grimes shared on Twitter that her highly-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Visions will be out this October. She tweets the next release was recorded with "real instruments...very different from anything" and "every track is super different." Brooklyn dream-pop artist Wild Nothing (aka Jack Tatum) debuted a brand-new song at a hometown show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Hear a live version of a track titled "Adore" below, their first new music since the 2013 EP Empty Estate. Here's hoping for a new full-length soon. [Under the Radar]

Former Girls frontman Christopher Owens shared a new track via Twitter. Check out the single "Selfish Feelings" below, which will be included on his forthcoming follow-up to last year's full-length A New Testament. Owens will make a Seattle stop on Wednesday, July 1st at Barboza. [Under the Radar]

And closing on a really depressing note, last month, we reported that Surfer Blood guitarist Thomas Fekete had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and was reaching out to the public to help with cover treatment costs. Sadly, over the weekend, the band's tour van was broken into in Schaumburg, IL, and not only did they lose "thousands of dollars in personal items and show settlements," but they also lost "all cash donations we collected for Thomas over the last 8 shows at our merch table." The band report on Facebook that they'll continue to tour, and ask local residents to keep an eye out for a few one-of-a-kind guitar pedals. [Pitchfork]
