By the time this gets posted, Mac DeMarco's Brooklyn backyard will be overflowing with fans. Last night, the charismatic artist invited everyone over to 153 Morgan Avenue to hear unreleased music that he'll be blasting from his car stereo (presumably his forthcoming mini-album Another One out on August 7th via Captured Tracks). He also offered to roast you a hot dog if you bring a food bank donation. This morning, he shared an instrumental soundtrack for the BBQ via Bandcamp, which you can stream below. And, today, he happens to co-star in the new Ducktails video for "Surreal Exposure," where Real Estate guitarist Matthew Mondanile shows up at his house, and instead of hot dogs, he gets attacked by a cactus. When Best Coast say they're feeling okay, they mean it. To prove it, the duo of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno play tennis, ride bikes, and work out in the video for "Feeling OK." The track appears on the band's third album, California Nights, out now on Harvest. If that video was too silly for you, Destroyer's got one that's as somber as its song: watch the clip for "Girl in a Sling" below. The dark theatric clip was directed by David Galloway, and shows frontman Dan Bejar crooning in the darkness cut with scenes of houses. In a press release, Galloway states, "We wanted to make a video that dealt with central Destroyer themes: to some, Destroyer is a lech; to some, he is an arsonist; to some, he is a savior. To me, he is the consummate comedian, but he resists that role. So we decided to go the opposite way and make something sad, something tragic, something that fits the new record." Watch below. Ultimate Painting, a project of James Hoare (Veronica Falls) and Jack Cooper (Mazes), return this summer with their sophomore full-length Green Lanes. We already shared one new song on the KEXP Blog in May, and today we've got the track "(I’ve Got The) Sanctioned Blues" to share. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the UK duo say they were inspired by current politics in the UK and the song is the band’s way of making sense of common financial dilemmas. Green Lanes hits stores on August 7th via Trouble In Mind. [Stereogum]

Seattle's own supergroup Childbirth -- featuring Julia Shapiro of Chastity Belt, Bree McKenna of Tacocat, and Stacy Peck of Pony Time -- share a new track today. Stream the single "Nasty Grrls" below, which will be on their debut full-length Women's Rights, out October 2nd on local label Suicide Squeeze. In a press release, McKenna says the song aims to "reclaim being nasty ... in an anthem about unattractive, 'unfeminine' female habits." [NPR Music]
