  • Portland-via-New Zealand band Unknown Mortal Orchestra stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers last night. From atop a white piano, frontman Ruban Nielson delivered a soulful rendition of the title track from their latest release Multi-Love below, out now on Jagjaguwar. Watch their performance below, and watch their KEXP in-studio session from earlier this summer here.) [Under the Radar]

  • West coast punks Wavves return this fall with the full-length V, despite the angry tweets of frontman Nathan Williams who said the label was “fucking up” the release. Check out the single “Heavy Metal Detox” below. V hits stores on October 2nd via Ghost Ramp/Warner Bros, and the band will be stopping by The Neptune on Tuesday, September 8th. • With their new album in stores this week, Los Angeles noise rock band HEALTH share a video as unsettling as their music. In the clip for “Stonefist,” the guys undergo some pretty extreme makeovers. Maybe, don’t watch this on your lunch break: [Pitchfork]

  • Here’s another clip for your post-lunch video playlist: Kentucky garage rock band White Reaper go mental in the video for “Pills,” a highlight from their debut White Reaper Does It Again. Frontman Tony Esposito spits up bile, faceplants scrambled eggs, and digs his own grave in this video, directed by Cooper Burton and Eli Kleinsmith. In a statement, they share, “We all got a little sick making the video you’re about to see. Shooting provided an outlet for sadism; luckily, Tony, the lead singer, was a total masochist.” Watch: [Consequence of Sound]
