  • It’s only 73 seconds long, but this mini-trailer has us very excited for the eagerly-awaited sophomore release from UK group Savages. In the clip, none other than Henry Rollins (??!!) reads from Phyllis Rose’s Jazz Cleopatra: Josephine Baker In Her Time as new music from the band plays in the background. The album is scheduled for a 2016 release, which now feels painfully far away. Watch below, and then watch their 2013 KEXP session here: [Stereogum]

  • We’ve got more new music from KEXP faves Low to share. (You can stream previously released singles “What Part of Me” and “No Comprende” on the KEXP Blog.) Check out today’s track “Lies” below, via Spotify. Their eleventh studio album, Ones and Sixes, hits stores on September 11th via Sub Pop, and the Duluth-based trio will play Saturday, November 21st at The Crocodile. [Under the Radar]

  • Seattle supergroup Childbirth — featuring Julia Shapiro of Chastity Belt, Bree McKenna of Tacocat, and Stacy Peck of Pony Time — share another new single from their upcoming debut full-length, Women’s Rights, out October 2nd on Suicide Squeeze. Stream the single “Let’s Be Bad” below, whose lyrics suggest such debauchery as “split a dessert” and “be late for work.” Heavens! Check out photos and a review of the group’s recent appearance at Pizza Fest on the KEXP Blog here. [Spin]

  • Late last night, Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O released her debut solo album, Crush Songs, a dreamy, sparse full-length of lovelorn songs. Today, she shares a dreamy video for the track “Singalong.” Director Asli Baykal captures New Yorkers going about their day as Karen coos along “I don’t know/ But I do.” Watch: [Stereogum]
