  • Chromatics have shared "Shadow," their contribution to the Adult Swim Singles series (it's available for free here). The song will also be featured on their upcoming album, Dear Tommy. In a statement, Johnny Jewel described the album as "the most rebellious record I've made." Although the LP doesn't have an official release date, hopefully it'll be out before the year ends. [SPIN]

  • Trevor Powers, better known as Youth Lagoon, debuted a new track titled "Rotten Human" from his upcoming record, Savage Hills Ballroom (out on September 25). In an interview with Nerdist, Powers explained that the song is "really examining what it is that makes me who I am, and what parts of that are disgusting." Listen below. [Pitchfork]

  • Austin indie outfit Sweet Spirit joined forces with frequent Spoon producer Mike McCarthy on their debut full-length album Cokomo. They've shared the album's funky first single "Baby When I Close My Eyes." Cokomo drops on October 16. [Stereogum]

  • Rapper Angel Haze will drop their anticipated Back to the Woods album on September 14. While Angel Haze is best known for laying down some very impressive raps, their new single "Moonrise Kingdom" shows off a powerful set of pipes. It's a soulful pop ballad that really boasts Haze's versatility. [CoS]
