It's a good day for album streams: not only can you hear the upcoming Kurt Vile release in its entirety on the KEXP Blog, you can also listen to the new one from Scottish trio CHVRCHES below, via NPR Music. The highly-anticipated sophomore release, Every Open Eye, hits the streets this Friday, September 25th via Glassnote, and they'll be supporting the album with a worldwide tour, including a Wednesday, October 14th stop at The Paramount Theatre. Following an appearance at last night's Emmy Awards (hosted by her hubby, actor/comedian Andy Samberg), Joanna Newsom shares another new track from her long-awaited new full-length. Check out the single "Leaving The City" from her upcoming release, Divers, out October 23rd via Drag City. Not only does she play harp on the track (natch), she also adds marxophone and piano, while her brother, Pete, is on percussion. Listen below: [Pitchfork]

After all the controversy, including a canceled show and criticism from fellow bands, Canadian post-punk quartet Viet Cong announced they'll be choosing a new band name soon. Via Facebook, the band stated, "Art and music are about creative expression. However, our band name is not our cause, and we are not going to fight for it. This is not what our band is about." The band intend to take their time choosing the next name ("We rushed into our last band name decision, we don’t plan to rush into this one"), so we're not sure what they'll be called on Friday, October 16th when they play Neumos, but we do know it should be a great show, no matter the moniker. In the clip for the track "Illusion," dancer Sean Douglas (better known as Brixx) busts out some serious moves in isolated areas of New York City. The track appears on the band's forthcoming full-length, Product 3, out October 23rd via Anti-. [Stereogum]

Miami trio Jacuzzi Boys share a new EP of garage-rock goodness: stream the release Happy Damage below, out this Friday on their own Mag Mag Records. The six-track mini-album is a return to form for the Floridian troublemakers. Bassist Danny Gonzalez told Paper Magazine, "It sorta just happened naturally, but I guess after experimenting quite a bit on the last record we felt like writing tunes built for a three piece to bang out."
