  • Beloved cable network Adult Swim have been putting out some amazing music over the years, and today's contribution ranks among the coolest releases yet: Seattle's own Shabazz Palaces team up with Flying Lotus and Thundercat under the name WOKE. Stream their first single "The Lavishments of Light Looking" below. And as if that pedigree ain't cool enough for you, the song features Parliament-Funkadelic's George Clinton. Yup. [Pitchfork]

  • It turns out this is a hoax: Dream pop duo Beach House were said to be special guests on Wayne Coyne's recently-launched podcast, The Fearless Freakcast, and supposedly talked about their latest album, Depression Cherry, and purportedly [not true!] performed a previously-unreleased track, "Helicopter Dream (I’m Awake)". • Next month, a group of artists will gather in Southern California to pay tribute to the Laurel Canyon scene of the '60s. The "Echo In The Canyon" show features artists like Fiona Apple, Beck, Regina Spektor, Jade (formerly of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros), and Jakob Dylan and Cat Power, who teamed up to cover the 1969 Turtles' track "You Showed Me." Listen below. The concert takes place on October 12th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, with a full-length studio album to be released later this year. [Stereogum]

  • We hinted last week that there was an exciting reunion on the verge in the shoegaze world, and this morning, they confirmed it: Lush are reuniting after 20 years. They'll play their first show together in two decades on May 6, 2016 at The Roundhouse in London, release a box set in December, and will reissue their "best-of" album, Ciao!, on vinyl via 4AD. In a press release, frontwoman Miki Berenyi said, "The opportunities and practicalities of reforming Lush meant that for 20 years it was an impossible undertaking, but we all loved what we did, and the time is finally right for us to do it again." [Under the Radar]

  • London-based DJ/producer Jamie xx shares a video today for the summer jam "I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)," off his excellent release In Colour. The video, as well as the song, feature rapper Young Thug and dancehall artist Popcaan. Watch below, and check out his mix for KEXP's Midnight in a Perfect World here. [Stereogum]
