New Zealand-born, NYC-based artist Tamaryn has emerged as one of the most striking artists crafting atmospheric shoegaze/dream-pop over the past five years. Her third and latest album, "Cranekiss", finds her adding more electronic elements into her potent and grandiose sonic mix, yielding some of her strongest material to date. While she's stopped by KEXP three times in the past to perform with her band, her exclusive DJ mix for KEXP's Midnight In A Perfect World sheds light on her deep knowledge of experimental synth-pop that's heavy on gems from the 1980s.
