  • METZ go for broke on their latest track "Eraser." It's an intense piece of noise rock that will leave you anxious yet mesmerized. The single is being offered as a limited edition - only 1,000 copies - pressed on green vinyl, which will release on January 22. Pre-order here via Subpop. [CoS]

  • Folk singer-songwriter Cass McCombs announced plans to release a 19-track collection of unheard rarities called A Folk Set Apart: Rarities, B-Sides & Space Junk, Etc. (out on December 11). To get a taste of the album, McCombs shared the glittering song "Evangeline." [CoS]

  • To mark the 25-year anniversary of the release of their debut LP, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, A Tribe Called Quest will drop a remastered reissue of the album. This special edition will feature remixes from big name hip hop artists such as: CeeLo Green and J.Cole. You can listen to Pharrell's offering, a remix of "Bonita Applebum," HERE. [Pitchfork]

  • This Friday, Deerhunter will drop their seventh studio album, Fading Frontier. They've shared an artsy video for the album track "Living My Life."
