KEXP Presents: R Day at the Old Rainier Brewery, 10/24

This weekend, “R” stands for “rock,” “roll,” and Rainier Beer! Join KEXP this Saturday, October 24th for “R Day,” a fundraiser for KEXP’s New Home. We’ll be celebrating in the Old Rainier Brewery with special musical guests, Beat Connection and The Helio Sequence. KEXP DJ Sharlese will be spinning between bands.

For a special treat, the Old Rainier Brewery will unveil an ice skating rink, that will make things especially interesting after a few beers. (Bring knee pads?) Attendees are also invited to team up for the Jubilee Team Challenge, a fun and friendly competition for 12 teams of 4 that includes Flip Cup, Giant Jenga and an Ice Skating Relay Race! Register your team here.

Check out a time-traveling round-up of KEXP in-studios from Beat Connection and The Helio Sequence below to get pumped up for the show! This event is FREE and open to all 21 and older.

NOTE: There is no parking at the event site. Attendees are encouraged to take a cab, Uber or public transit to the event. If you drive, please park at Safeco Field Parking Garage for FREE, and take the FREE shuttle to the event. Shuttles will run from Safeco Parking Garage [337 Edgar Martinez Dr S] to The Old Rainier Brewery every 30 minutes starting at 4PM until 12AM on event day.

About the Campaign for KEXP’s New Home:
A shared passion for “music that matters” has inspired the listeners, artists, and curators of the KEXP Community for more than 40 years. Now, in order to increase that impact, we need to grow physically, too. KEXP’s New Home is designed specifically to reach more music lovers, break down barriers between listeners and their favorite artists, and make it even easier to share new music and experiences with KEXP Community members all over the world.
