Portland-via-New Zealand band Unknown Mortal Orchestra share a fantastically animated clip for the track "Necessary Evil," off their latest Jagjaguwar release Multi-Love. Artist and director Sean Solomon says, "The video is an abstract love story about two characters whose insecurities and paranoia eventually drive them apart. I tried to show both character's perspectives using elements from the lyrics. I had a team of amazing animators and friends." Beloved label Bloodshot Records are celebrating their 21st birthday in the best way: with a limited-edition set of six 7″ singles, packaged like a six-pack of beer, featuring songs about drinkin'! Rhode Island-based rockers Deer Tick raise a toast to The Pogues 1988 single "If I Should Fall From Grace With God," which you can stream below. Atmospheric Canadian rockers The Besnard Lakes share a cinematic new track today: stream the single "The Motorway" below, which will be released on The Golden Lion 12", out November 13th via Jagjaguwar. A collection of previously-unreleased covers by Jeff Buckley, titled You and I, will be released on March 16th via Columbia/Legacy Recordings. The mostly-solo tracks are taken from his very first session after being signed to Columbia Records, and features covers of The Smiths, Bob Dylan, and, as you can stream below, a take on "Everyday People" by the Sly & The Family Stone.
