  • Poliça will release their third album, United Crushers, on March 4. The Minneapolis synthpop band describe the album as “heavily political and deeply personal with thick references to social injustice, self-doubt and isolation, the rapidly increasing urban decline in gentrification, overcoming music industry machinations, and finding true and honest love in the wake of it all.” Today, they’ve shared the album track “Lime Habit.” [CoS]

  • Menace Beach take a hard look at the forced cheeriness that surrounds the holiday season in their new song “Holidays Are Heavy.” In an interview with DIY, frontman Ryan Needham explained, “This song is about the fact that even if you cant buy presents and stuff for people you can always find a way to look out for each other at this time of year where not everyone is having a great time.” [Stereogum]
