  • Indie rockers Ra Ra Riot will release their fourth studio album Need Your Light on February 19. Today, the band has shared the video for the album track "Water," which was directed by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij. They have an extensive promotional tour planned for early next year, and on March 30 they'll land in Seattle at Neumos. [Pitchfork]

  • Islands frontman Nick Thorburn has composed 25 new tracks for the second season of the mega-popular podcast Serial. The first episode of the murder mystery series premiered yesterday and you can listen to the entire collection of moody instrumentals below. [CoS]

  • The Both, the duo of singer-songwriters Aimee Mann and Ted Leo, have embarked on a little mini Christmas tour with Liz Phair across the eastern United States.
