  • There's been heavy speculation that LCD Soundsystem would be reuniting this year for Cochella. Well, frontman James Murphy has confirmed the reunion, and a new album, in a statement on the band's website. Murphy writes, "we’re not just playing Coachella. we’re playing all over. we’re not just having some reunion tour. we’re releasing a record (sometime this year—still working on it, actually), so this isn’t a victory lap or anything, which wouldn’t be of much interest to us." • David Bowie will drop his 26th studio album ★ (pronounced Blackstar) on Friday, which happens to be his 69th birthday. Today he's shared a haunting tease of the video for the album track "Lazarus" on his Facebook page. The full video premieres on Thursday. [Pitchfork]

  • Indie pop outfit Wild Nothing, led by Jack Tatum, have shared a new single called "Reichpop." It's a bright, dreamy song that serves as the opening track to their upcoming third studio album Life Of Pause (out February 19). [Stereogum]

  • Marina & the Diamonds has put her own modern twist on Cyndi Lauper's iconic hit "True Colors." The cover was originally intended for a reissue of Marina's album Froot, and even though that never came to fruition, Marina shared the track. The Welsh songstress, like Lauper, has a very distinctive voice which makes this song a perfect fit. [SPIN]
