  • 2016 is off to a great start for M. Ward. The beloved Northwest singer/songwriter made a surprise appearance at the Sasquatch! 2016 Launch Party earlier this week, and today, he shares a video for "Girl From Conejo Valley," a single from his upcoming release, More Rain. The clip, directed by Ward and Carlos Forster, features a menagerie of picnics, rabbits, helicopters, bikers, and more. Watch below.   • UK '90s-rock-style group Yuck share a track from their forthcoming studio album, Stranger Things. Stream the single "Hearts in Motion" below. Frontman Max Bloom says the song is, "about how we deal with relationships. We’re all just blasting through space on a huge rock, so what’s the point in maintaining a relationship? Is it all just doomed to failure, or is it the one thing that we should be holding on to the most in this world? Who knows!" Stranger Things will be out February 26th via Mamé Records, and the band stop in Seattle on Wednesday, March 30th at The Crocodile. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Austin group Shearwater share a new track from their upcoming album, Jet Plane and Oxbow. Frontman Jonathan Meiburg describes the album as a "protest record," garnering its title from a moment when he looked out of a 737 as another plane, passing below, bisected a loop of the Mississippi. Stream the single "Only Child" below. Jet Plane and Oxbow will be out January 22nd via Sub Pop. [Pitchfork]

  • Canadian shoegaze duo Beliefs share a clip for the track "Leave With You," a single off last year's sophomore full-length, Leaper. Directed by Sean Cartwright, the intriguing video features a series of items being destroyed. Leaper is out now via Hand Drawn Dracula. [Stereogum]
