  • Like most of you, we can’t wait for the debut full-length from UK trio Hælos to hit the streets. Get a sneak peek with the video for “Separate Lives,” a track the band describe as “a reflection on the moment when you are choosing between staying or leaving and the underlying love that keeps you there. We liked that, it was simple and human and something we could all share experience in.” Keep watch for some glimpses of Seattle in the clip, captured when they were in town for their KEXP in-studio session (watch here). Hælos’ debut full-length, Full Circle, will be out March 18th via Matador. [Stereogum]

  • Northwest icons The Dandy Warhols share a single from their upcoming full-length Distortland, out April 8th via Dine Alone Records. Check out the track “STYGGO” below, which frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor prefaces with: “The world is full of corporate billionaire scumbags who pollute the earth, kill wildlife, cause cancer, secretly running nations into the ground, and the moronic masses who just agree with their mindless slogans and will never fight the good fight to help to stop them until finally the last blistered blind three armed mutant dregs of humanity eat each other’s putrid flesh in mankind’s final nauseating death throws…” You can hear more from Distortland live when The Dandys play our John in the Morning at Night event on Friday, March 18th with Young Fathers, Battleme, and surprise special guests! Tickets on sale here. All proceeds benefit KEXP’s New Home.

  • Another band playing a (sold out!) KEXP New Home benefit is Brooklyn’s Nada Surf, whose eighth album You Know Who You Are hits stores tomorrow, March 4th, via longtime beloved label Barsuk. Get a sneak peek with the video for “Rushing” below, shot in Paris. Frontman Matthew Caws says, “we had a great day taking the subway all over paris and shooting wherever felt good. it was fun to play for the commuters but i’m sure they were wondering why i wasn’t singing a famous song.” Catch Nada Surf in Seattle on Wednesday, May 18th at the Neptune Theatre. • Santigold is back with her first new full-length in four years, 99¢. Last night, she took the stage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the track “Can’t Get Enough Of Myself,” while wearing a dress with her own face on it, appropriately enough. Santigold headlines our next Little Big Show on Saturday, April 9th with DoNormaal. The show is SOLD OUT, but tune in to KEXP all day on Thursday, March 31st for your chance to win tickets!
