  • Despite keeping busy with his Run the Jewels project, Atlanta MC Killer Mike shares a previously unreleased track "Saks Fifth" which you can stream below. Stereogum points out, it's mostly likely an older track as Mike shouts out his old Grind Time Rap Gang crew and his short-lived Grand Hustle label affiliation, but beggars can't be choosers. Listen below. Killer Mike and his RTJ co-hort El-P are currently working on the follow-up to 2014's RTJ2, presumably titled RTJ3? [Consequence of Sound]

  • In a somewhat perfect pairing, Scottish post-rockers Mogwai have composed the soundtrack for a BBC documentary on the terrors of nuclear war titled Atomic – Living in Dread and Promise. The band then re-worked the compositions for the forthcoming album, Atomic, which hits stores on April 1st via Temporary Residence. A press release states the LP "balances both the nightmare of the nuclear age" and its "dreamlike qualities." Hear for yourself with the single "Bitterness Centrifuge" below. [Spin]

  • Nicholas Allbrook is one restless dude. The former Tame Impala bassist and current Pond frontman has announced his sophomore solo release, Pure Gardiya, will be out May 27th via Spinning Top. Matt Sav directs a video for the album's first single "Advance" which you can watch below: [Pitchfork]

  • Former Beta Band frontman Steve Mason shares a new video today, too, for the single "Alive" off his third solo release Meet The Humans, out now on Domino. The animated clip, directed by Rok Predin, looks like a way more sinister take on The Sims. Let's hope the song title bodes well for the little pixelated people. Watch below: [Under the Radar]
