  • Need to chill? Moby's got you covered with this four hour mix titled Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. He explains, "it's really quiet: no drums, no vocals, just very slow calm pretty chords and sounds and things for sleeping and yoga and etc." Hey, if it works for a busy dude like Moby...! Download it for free here.
  • Last night, KEXP fave Father John Misty surprised the audience in Santa Ana, California with a cover of both Rihanna's pop hit "Kiss It Better" and the 1978 Springsteen/Smith single "Because the Night." Watch fan-shot video of both performances below. Who knows what covers he'll perform on Wednesday, April 6th at The Paramount? [Pitchfork]

  • Dan Bejar (aka Destroyer) unveils the track "My Mystery," a leftover from last year's full-length Poison Season that will be released on its own in 12" version on May 6th via Merge. Today, he shares the remix by DJ johnedwardcollins@gmail.com (a member of Destroyer's live band). Bejar explains, "We recorded a song called “My Mystery” a year and a half ago. Kind of a light number, vaguely danceable. Wistful, looking back not unfondly on time spent and dull misadventures had within the dead-as-a-doornail music industry. And the feeling of where it leaves you, like a rat in the middle of the ocean, though not as harsh as that; as if rats could swim an ocean’s length. Then one day DJ johnedwardcollins@gmail.com called me up and said, 'You got any shit for me?'…" Listen below: [Stereogum]

  • Australian alt-rock veterans The Church debut a new video today for the track "Let Us Go" off 2014's Further/Deeper (the band's 24th album in all). Frontman Steve Kilbey describes the track as "a pretty standard Church song," adding, "It's a bit New Romantic-y with that synthesizer, giving a 1980s kind of bounce to it, something we don't have a lot of. And we haven't done it a lot live but when we did, it was heading towards a really cool thing at the end." Watch the clip below. The band are about to kick off an 18-date U.S. tour on April 8th in Dallas, performing their 1982 album The Blurred Crusade alongside other Church faves. [Under the Radar]
