  • They didn’t perform this one during their blistering closing set at KEXP’s New Home Grand Opening this past Saturday, but Car Seat Headrest took to Tumblr to share a cover of Radiohead‘s “Pyramid Song.” Frontman/founder Will Toledo calls his take of the Amnesiac track, a “sloppy flamenco with missing string and AIM accompaniment.” Listen below. The new CSH album, Teens of Denial, will be out out May 20th via Matador. [Pitchfork]

  • Local lady Lisa Prank speaks the truth with her new single “Luv Is Dumb,” a twee-punk ode to how crushes can diminish our thinking capabilities. Give it a listen below. Prank releases her eagerly-awaited full-length, Adult Teen, on June 24th via Father/Daughter Records for vinyl and Miscreant Records for cassette. [Stereogum]

  • With a name like The Kills, you might expect something darker, but instead the London-based duo enchant with this fun-lovin’ clip for “Heart of a Dog,” a single from their forthcoming fifth full-length, Ash & Ice. The band released the following statement for the video: “We are very very especially pleased to release our new music video for ‘Heart of A Dog!’ It was shot all day and into the night in Los Angeles by our dear friend, the tremendous talent, Sophie Muller. We love this video. We love it because it’s fucking fun. Muscle cars and backflips. Palms trees and cacti. Dogs and dice. Neon and sunshine. We hope you love it as much as we do. VROOM VROOM. Love, The Kills.” Ash & Ice hits stores on June 3rd via Domino, and the duo bring the fun to Showbox SoDo on Wednesday, June 1st. [Under the Radar]

  • Last night, our new neighbors Key Arena hosted the legendary Paul McCartney, and our own local legend Krist Novoselic jumped on stage to join him for an extra-trippy rendition of White Album classic “Helter Skelter.” Watch fan-shot footage, with some seizure-inducing visuals in the background, of the duo tearin’ it up: [Spin]
